Advanced stem cell therapy for lower back injuries and pain

Why so many people suffer lumbar pain – and how stem cells can help promote healing

It’s remarkable how rapidly humans have evolved over tens of thousands of years. Indeed, we were the smartest creatures on the planet even when we were so-called “cavemen.” And well before we developed written language and culture, groups of humans were working together, communicating complex ideas, and not just living in this world, but shaping it to improve our lives.

Yet that rapid development from mere mammal to human being has come at a cost – lower back pain. This is a condition that’s so common that it ranks among the leading reasons why people take time off from work and visit their physicians.

You might be scratching your head wondering why evolving into an intelligent species could be related at all to back pain. Doesn’t our intellect and cognitive function center in our brains, not our backs?

As it turns out, humans (and other primates) evolved into smarter creatures because we became more vertical. Rising above other animals to walk on two legs, not four, gives us the ability to use our arms and hands to manipulate objects in the world around us. Our four-legged friends – such as dogs and cats – don’t really suffer from lower back pain because they don’t even have lower backs.

Some might consider lower back pain – or lumbar pain – a small price to pay for the privilege of being human because in most cases such pain is temporary and mild. But in some cases that pain can be chronic and severe – with few effective treatments available.

Fortunately, however, stem cell therapy now can help more people with serious lumbar pain fight back against back pain.

Your lumbar spine: A region of your body highly vulnerable to pain and injury

Why do so many people complain about “lower back pain”? Although pain and injuries can emerge anywhere along the spine, complaints about “upper back pain” seem far less common.

Although there are five different sections of the spine, the one that’s best known is called the “lumbar” section, one of the lowest regions along the spine.

This is part of the spine below the ribcage that not only supports more weight of the upper body but is also naturally curved in a way that makes it more vulnerable to pain – whether from a disease, injury or normal “wear and tear.” This pain can be the result of:

  • Degenerative disc disease that causes the gel-filled discs in the spine that cushion its bones to become damaged over time

  • Herniated discs (also known as “slipped discs”) that become misshaped, so they don’t protect the spine as effectively

  • Facet joint damage that affects areas where bones connect to each other that can lead to serious pain

  • And many other conditions

Although there are various treatments for these conditions and disorders, preventing back pain in the first place is the best approach to avoiding it. These steps include maintaining good posture, making sure you don’t put too much stress on your back (for example, lifting heavy objects), and even selecting the right shoes to wear.

But if prevention were easy, we wouldn’t see so many people suffering from severe back pain. In these cases, depending on the condition, treatment options for ongoing chronic lumbar pain have generally been limited to medications and surgery.

Surgery can be complex and pose risks. Medications may not be effective in the long term and often cause side effects that patients can’t tolerate. But now patients have a third option – advanced stem cell therapy.

How stem cell therapy works: Treatment based on the body’s natural healing process.

One remarkable aspect of the human body is that it already knows how to heal itself, using stem cells. Through a natural biological process, stem cells are the body’s “repair team” that are used to heal damage throughout the body. These cells help signal other cells in your body to:

  • Promote healing of damaged tissue

  • Alleviate pain and reduce inflammation

  • Restore flexibility and range of motion

This process isn’t limited to healing pain in the back. Stem cells can be used to promote healing of many other conditions, such as brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, autoimmune diseases, and other disorders. Unfortunately, as we age, natural stem cell production can decline. But stem cell therapy can supplement the body with millions of additional stem cells.

The therapy is minimally invasive and generally poses little risk of side effects. At BioXcellerator, we treat many patients for many conditions. Patients often are surprised by not only the relief from pain they enjoy, but also the rapid results – sometimes within a few days after treatment with even more improvement in the months and years following treatment.

Reviewing results from MRI scans before and after stem cell therapy, research shows that stem cells can help:

  • Regenerate cartilage lost in degenerative disc disease

  • Decompress bulging discs

  • Regenerate cartilage to ease painful bone on bone pressure

Super Bowl Champion Mark May: “The 24/7 pain I once had was gone.”

One patient we treated, Super Bowl Champion Mark May, told us that he noticed improvement in just one day.

“I feel better. My neck feels a lot better — and that’s only after 24 hours,” Mark said. “I’m shockingly surprised about how well it’s gone so far.”

He also said that the first night after his treatment, “it was the first night I slept in one place in many years.”

And army veteran and WWF Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, let us know that his stem cell therapy was a “life-changing experience.” He said that he’s suffered from chronic pain for many years but the very day after treatment said that when he was walking, “I probably passed 300 people. It’s the fastest I’ve probably walked since I was 30 – and that was 30 years ago.”

Not only that, but he also reported that two months after stem cell therapy, “the 24/7 pain I once had was gone.”

BioX Signature Cells:

Treatment with high-potency stem cells

If you’re considering stem cell therapy, be sure to ask what type of stem cells you will receive – because not all stem cells are not alike.

Indeed, stem cells can vary widely in quantity and potency. At BioXcellerator, we’ve developed a proprietary protocol based on a specific type of stem cell – mesenchymal stem cells from donated umbilical cords. That’s because research shows that these cells have unique attributes that can make them more potent than other types of stem cells.

Our protocol includes testing cells for various properties than indicate high potency. Then only cells that meet our strict criteria are purified and then cultured and expanded into infusions of millions of highly potent BioX Signature Cells.

This type of treatment is not available in the U.S. In fact, another patient we treated, wrestler Ryback Reeves came to our clinic because stem cell treatment in the U.S. didn’t alleviate his pain.

“What I was getting in the states wasn’t as good,” he recalled. But one month after treatment at BioXcellerator, he said, “I really noticed some changes. Zero back pain even after waking up. That’s surreal after rolling out of bed for the last three years in excruciating pain.”

Don’t let lumbar pain prevent you from enjoying your life. Look into advanced stem cell therapy as an alternative to surgery and medications that can help roll back the clock against lower back pain
